This model has already proven successful across the United States. In the mid-1990s, a group of Shia Ismaili convenience store owners recognized the power of collaboration. By forming regional trade associations, they leveraged shared buying power, built direct relationships with industry leaders, and advocated for their businesses. These efforts led to the creation of The National Alliance of Trade Associations (NATA) in 2000.
